Connect-R
Hello Romania invites you on Friday 19 April at the Electric Ballroom in London to a concert by artists Connect-R and Johny Romano (in Romanian and English).
Ștefan Mihalache, later known as Connect-R, was born on 9 June 1982 in Bucharest. At the age of 15, hip-hop became his major musical love, inspired by artists such as The Fugees, Jeru The Damaja, Nas, Non-Fiction and Wu Ting. His first notable collaboration was with the band R.A.C.L.A., for the track “Nameless” from their album “Plus Infinit”. Connect-R launched his solo career and became a music producer. In 2006, he made history as the first rapper to perform on the Eurovision stage, representing Moldova with the song “Loca”. Connect-R has continued to hold records, with 6 songs simultaneously on the Radio 21 playlist. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSitr83r4Yo )

Regardless of the genre – hip-hop, dance or ballad – Connect-R kept his uniqueness and continued to be one of the iconic artists of Romanian music.
In recent years Connect R has set out to discover and help new talents. In this way he discovered young people who had talent but who would not have had the courage or the resources to develop in the music business.
One of the young people Connect-R has discovered and introduced to music is Johny Romano, a very talented young man.
Johny Romano, a talented artist with great promise who has been in love with rap and lute music since he was a child. The artist released his first single” Na Janau”, the song garnered a million views on youtube in the first day of its release and went viral on social media.
