Clap Your Hands Say Yeah + Kins

These Indie Rockers exploded on the scene in 2005 with their acclaimed self titled debut, unleashing Alec Ounsworth’s trademark vocals, euphoric guitars, and joyous synths into the world, leading to comparisons with fellow indie titans Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire and Yo La Tengo. After touring almost non stop across the globe for four years, in 2009, the band were in need of a break to recharge. Off the road and given the time they needed to inject themselves with a new driving energy, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah joined forces with renowned producer John Congleton, known for his work with Okkervil River, Explosions In The Sky, Clinic, and The Mountain Goats, emerging reinvigorated from their sabbatical with a powerful follow up to 2007′s Some Loud Thunder. The band’s third release, Hysterical, widens the band’s idiosyncratic formula, incorporating a remarkably expansive tidal wave of sound, all multi-layered keyboard tracks and big, booming drums, tied together by Ounsworth’s unique soaring vocals. And if the teaser clip that surfaced online recently is anything to go by, expect a triumphant return to form!
