Emerging from the punk movement, Les Négresses Vertes became one of the most iconic representatives of French music abroad.

Founded in Paris in 1987, this independent acoustic rock band drew as much from chanson réaliste as from Mediterranean sounds. Their debut album Mlah (1988) immediately crossed borders, and by 1989 their remixes entered the UK charts. Three more albums followed: Famille Nombreuse (1991), Zigzague (1995), and Trabendo (1999).

After their stunning comeback tour (350 shows worldwide between 2018 and 2024), Les Négresses Vertes return to European stages in 2026!
