“Labcabincalifornia” 20th Anniversary Concert

The Pharcyde are back and will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2nd album “Labcabincalifornia” by performing it in full tonight as a UK exclusive concert.

“Labcabincalifornia” was released in 1996 on Go Discs! in the UK and featured production from Jay Dee ( J Dilla ), Diamond D &M-Walk. The albums featured two absoluty incredible singles with “Runnin’ ” and “Drop“, the latter having a memorable video directed by Spize Jonze. See below to view.

Originaly formed in 1989, The Pharcyde‘s debut album “Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde” came out in 1992 and featured a slew of tunes which have since gone on to become classics of 1990’s Hip Hop such as “Passin’ me by”, “Ya Mama”, “Soul Flower”, “Otha Fish” and more.

Hailing from California, The Pharcyde are on a par with A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Pete Rock & CL Smooth & Gang Starras the best groups from the so called “Golden Era” of Hip Hop.

AGMP presented the original 1996 tour for “Labcabincalifornia” so we are extremely pleased to be a part of this one off special evening.
